Guinevie Lynn

I think parents should be very considerate of their children's feelings when they consider baby names. I should know (believe me, my name looks pretty on paper but it is not so easy to live with). Genevie is a very nice name but be sure that you can answer all of the 'why couldn't I have a normal name?' questions you might get. Also, consider any nicknames she might get (I can think of a really bad one right now) as well as how she might shorten her name and how that sort of name might affect her at work, when applying for college, etc. I know it seems overly-analytic to look at things this way, but I think it's well worth the time. I wish someone had this talk with my mother way back when. I know some people will think i'm horrible for having sent an answer like this, but as a victim of an 'unusual' name, i feel entitled to at least bring up a different point of view. Besides, people shouldn't post questions if they want sugar-coated answers.

Best of luck and congratulations on your pregnancy.

Very beautiful.

Everybody's middle name is Lynn, Marie, or Ann.
Your baby is special.
You ought to consider a middle name for her which is less common.

I think that's pretty. I was going to name my girl Cassidy Elise, but to our suprise even though the ultrasounds were done and we were told a girl.... we had a boy!

Two of my friends just had girls and the chose Mara as a first name and the other friend chose Cambria as a first name. Both cute.
