I'm pretty sure all do the same thing. Some lotions are better in quality but most is just for marketing.

isn't chap-stick a brand?

lotion for dry skin is "supposed" to be more concentrated in moisturizing than "regular" lotion. really, it is probably a marketing gimmick. it is about the ingredients...

i recommend for chapped lips to use vaseline/petroleum jelly. it works the best of anything. this would also work on super dry skin, but it will leave it feeling greasy. the best lotions for actually moisturizing dry skin have been the thick body lotions from bath & body works. they work for me the best of anything & they smell great as well.

Chap-stick is a brand of lip balm. I like ones with lip conditioner in them and Carmex. Body cream is thicker than body lotion. If you're using it on heels and elbows, you want a cream. The rest of your body is fine with lotion. I like Avon.
