Not outlook express, outlook.
I was helping a friend set up her new computer today and tried every which way to transfer her contacts from her old computer to her new one. Tried synchronizing, copying files, direct transfer via a USB cable and file transfer software, etc. It's a pretty extensive list, we don't want to have to re-enter it by hand. Is there a better way to do it? Thanks --

Please excuse my ignorance, I don't like and don't use Outlook (or Outlook Express). So if I import/export, would I get online from the old machine, export, send them to the server, then get online from the new machine, download, and import? If I copy to/from a disk what menu options would I use to do this? Any other suggestions?
I'm not at her house right now so I'll print these out for next time I go over there. Whatever someone tells me that actually works best will get best answer. Details are appreciated as I don't use this program myself and so am not familiar with it. Thanks.

Select the Personal Folders you want, then go into the File menu.
You'll see an import/export button.
Simply export the folder out as a pst file and reimport it the same way.

Ran into the same problem and all I did was to copy them to a floppy and them reload them on the new system. Using a flash drive would probably work.
