Air pressure is the weight of the air pressing on you. The amount of air above you changes as air moves from one place to another with winds at different levels producing areas of high and low pressure.

Air pressure is measured world wide, including the USA, in hectopascals (hPa) but this unit is converted to inches of mercury for domestic consumption in the US.

If you mean weather wise, air pressure is the difference in barometric pressure in two areas. It's caused by differences in temperature causing air to rise and fall, expand and contract, and also causes wind. High pressure results from cold air pushing under warm air, and vice versa. air pressure is the amount of air in a specific area e.g a square inch. The earths air pressure at sea level is about 14.7 psi. (pounds per square ich) The higher you go the less gravity there is so there is less air which = lower psi

Air pressure is compressed air. The more compressed the higher the pressure. Measured in psi's (pressure per square inch.)
