How much does it cost? [Just an estimate is fine]
I've heard about rejection of a piercing which worries me a lot, how common is that and is there anything you can do to prevent it?
If your piercing does get rejected will you have a scar?

Anything else that you could tell me also would be great. Thanks.

Does it hurt?

Depends on the person. I've never heard anyone say it felt worse than a pinch. Mine have never hurt, pinched or stung. All I've ever felt was a slight cold sensation and a little tug.

How do you wash it?

Use antibacteral (non moisturising) soap, wash your hands first, then create a good lather and apply it to the piercing. Work it into the wound by moving the piercing up and down (for curved barbells) or rotating the ring fully (hoops) 8-12 times. Then, run water over it for atleast 1 full minute rotating or moving it up and down depending. Make sure you get all of the soap out so it does not dry and cause itching. Then use an ocean salt mixture or this great spray called H2Ocean Water Piercing Aftrecare Spray.

How much does it cost? [Just an estimate is fine]

Mine ranged from $50-$60

It is not really common, but is least common if you are pierced with a curved barbell than a hoop. My first one was rejected, because it was not pierced far enough back. If you notice it is moving foward, return to your piercer and have them remove it if they feel it should be. It won't cost you anything to do so. Also, take a look at photos of their previous work. Quality pierciers do take photos.

If your piercing does get rejected will you have a scar?

Mine has a very small scar. But, I only notice it because I looked for it.

I got my eyebrow pierced when I was fifteen and I love it. I'm twenty-two now, and I still have it in and I am very happy with it.

Does it hurt?

Depends on you pain tolerance. Someone taught me this little thing, that I find very accurate; pinch your forearm lightly, hold for a second, then squeeze as hard as you can for a brief second, then let go. I tired this before and after I got pierced, and for me it was exactly the same feeling.

After you get pierced your piercer will give you explicit directions on how to clean and care for your piercing. He/she should also give/sell you a bottle of cleaner specifically for it. It's very easy to care for, as it's in an easily accesible area.

Mine cost fourty dollars US in 2001, including jewlery. Don't go cheap on piercing (or tattoos) you only have one body. Would you go in for cut-rate surgery?

If you properly care for your piercing, chances are very low of rejecting your jewlery. If you have been pierced before and your body rejected it, then your chances are higher. If it does start to reject it, you will know, it will hurt, and it will look very odd. As long as you take it out promptly, and don't let it fester you shouldn't have any permanent scaring.

Getting pierced is a great experience, and is also very addictive. If you've thought about it for a long time (I always say, make sure you want a piercing continuously for six months before getting it done, two years for a tattoo, as they last forever, it sounds like a long wait, but it's worth it. If I didn't follow my own rules I'd have many regreted piercings/tattoos) and you are sure you want to do it, go for it! Just remember that the ost important thing is to find a high quality, reputable piercer. Ask around, look for yourself, and always ask to see their autoclave (sterilizing device), if they won't show you, or are rude to you, leave and never go back. Find somewhere else, even if you have to travel. (I drove 300 miles to get my tattoo) It'll be worth it in the end.

Good luck and have fun!

yes a little, then will fade to feel like a bruise
you wash it with the stuff they give you
it cost about 20-30$ more if you want nicer jewelry
yes it can be rejected but it will just push it out and make it puss, and no, besides regularly cleaning you can do nothing about it
and yes you will have alittle tiny dot scar for each hole regardless of you one day taking it out or it being rejected
