One is the kind who's dependent, feminine, sumbissive, and likes to be a woman to his man, while another is something else quite different which I don't understand? He likes being a man but wants to be with another man who's like a woman. Is that type more likely to switch over to women or be bisexual? Are there ever two dependent types who get together? How does that work out for them? Am I missing the boat completely?

You're just trying to create another false dichotomy, because that's what society's based on. There's a LOT of different types of gay men. Many of them are in the middle, and tend towards egalitarian relationships, either splitting roles differently than normal gender roles are usually split, or just taking turns with all of them. You are indeed missing the boat completely.
That said, the two types of people you named almost certainly exist, but they exist in a sea of other individuals who really are diverse.

I am gay. But to ask that question is kinda way out in left field. There are more than 2 types of gay men. There are hundreds of types of any person, man or woman.

I am a man, strong, masculine, hairy and not the least bit feminine and I like men who are the same. I find feminine men unattractive and conversely I think very feminine women are sexy.
I love being a man and I love men! It is just the way it is.

i think every human being has a masculine and feminine side.. being gay may bring one out more than the other..
i am bi and i am get feminine.. i can be attracted to male or females who are either masculine or feminine.. so i don't see any direct links.. but i tend to be attracted to people who are not afraid to express their emotions and sensitive side..

I understand.
Some guys are OK with same sex partners on their terms.
Most are not emotional with the other for fear of it.
I would say their are many ways of what being gay is to some and to others.
I hope this helps I understand what your saying.

I think that there are as many different types of gay men in the world as there are gay men in the world.

there's actually more than two types of gay men, it's kind of all complex as far as sexual roles.
There's gay/bi-masculine - top/dominate, versatile and bottom/submissive
There's gay/bi-feminine- top/dominate, versatile and bottom/submissive
That's just to give you some idea.

Child the boat sailed and you NEVER even saw it.
Your little speech is so so sad. Its just SIMPLISTIC. Its like a kindergardner saying the sky is one color blue.

yeah- i'm not a guy, or gay, but i'd have to agree on that one. i'm not too sure how it works, but just being around my gay friends tells me it's more of a personality thing than a "types" thing, you know? just what clicks....sorry, not too detailed, just me musing...
