Why Peterson is ranked #6 is a mystery to me. All he has shown is that #1, he can run when he is healthy, and #2, he gets injured about half the time at the college level.

According to what Mike Tirico said the other day on SportsCenter, he expects JaMarcus Russell to be the #1 pick by the Raiders because of his potential as a QB.

Smith is in the draft, and has been said to be a first day pick, but not a first round pick mostly due not to his performance in the BCA National Championship game, but rather as a result of his overall size. Leek is also in, but is expected as a late pick due to many reasons, such as inconsistant play earlier in his career and not being a prime QB in his last year of NCAA football. Kiper has him listed as a Top 32 prospect, but this is also before the NFL Combine. This year, a lot of people are really taking a "wait and see" attitude as seeing how the prospects perform in the Combine.

The Heisman is turning out to being a kiss for many players. Ron Dayne and Jason White come to mind right off the bat. The last senior to get the Heisman Trophy was White from Oklahoma, and he ended up not being drafted and retiring from the NFL in training camp. Bush and Leinart have a decent chance to turn it around, but it is too early to see if Bush can keep it up, or if Leinart can come through and not be a great QB on a crappy NFL team.

Smith and Leak are both in the draft also neither is a top QB prospect. Smith is probably a 2nd-3rd round pick and Leak is a 4th-6th round pick.

Top 10 Overall, Any Position, Including Juniors
1. Brady Quinn, QB, ND
2. Calvin Johnson, WR, GT
3. Joe Thomas, OT, WIS
4. JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU
5. Adrian Peterson, RB, OU
6. Alan Branch, DT, UM
7. Gaines Adams, DE, CLEM
8. Jamaal Anderson, DE, ARK
9. Leon Hall, CB, UM
10. LaRon Landry, S, LSU

Two things:
One, this is a list compiled by a draft expert, so there are some things that I disagree with.
Two, this isn't necessarily the order that they'll be drafted in.
