Is football gender specific (i.e. WNBA and NBA, girls lacrosse and boys lacrosse, etc)?

YES. In my town one of the best football players a couple years ago was a girl. They are not allowed to discriminate if they do not create a division for each gender (i.e. girls football and boys football). If you look at your school's rules and guidelines, there is most likely nothing that says they can discriminate against gender. If they don't let you join (unless you aren't good enough), they can be in serious legal trouble.

If she wants to join the team she sure can. When I was in high school we had two girls playing on our freshman football team, one of the teams in our conference even had a girl on the varsity team. If she wants to play she can, no one can say she can't since there isn't a girls football team she can try to play with the boys.

We had a few girls on the team, one of them was our back-up rushing back, she sort became the main one. The guys on the other team would figure out she was a girl, and get all 'excited'. She loved it, even when she was tackled and the guys would say things to her, she'd repond with a comeback. One guy tackled her, and got up said ,"Now you know what it like to **** with me!" She said, "that's it?" He was quiet. the other girls on the team didn't like it as much as they did, they didn't know about the trash talking. One girl cried when she was tackled and some guy said something along those lines. If you can play with the boys and beat them... hey, no problem. But if you aren't going to be comfortable with guys talking smack, then it may not be for you. This high school ball. I know other teams had girls but they never played.Which is sad, and sexist.

Actually ESPN was showing this girl who joined the football team (playing with boys). But she was huge. So if you're big enough, go ahead. Good luck.

high school no unless she is a big girl who will play o line or d line
there a alot of girls who are big and good at football
but the girls who go out for running back or reciever always suck

no i dont think football is gender specific , girls can also join football team easily ,, you can easily join local football teams in your area,,,

yeah she can! if she is determined and really wants to be in football. you can do whatever you want to if strive for it!!
