The new strategy looks a lot like the old strategy. It is so easy for those who have never served to ask others to do so in their stead. How many lives have to be lost for his legacy? I served active duty as a Marine during Vietnam. He just doesn't get it. For every mistake he makes people die.

Nixon and Ford were in power when Vietnam fell. Gosh. I thought they were Republicans. If you haven't served, don't critisize.

Yes he will.. but the prize will be making all of his friends rich over the next 2 years. The soldiers are just buying him time to spend more money. 20,000 troops should give us plenty of stall time until the executives of Haliburton can retire.

You don't sound like a Marine to me. My father was a Marine. Gung-ho! Dared ANY country or power to sh** on us. Couldn't wait. HATED the fact that the politicians let us lose in Vietnam. Politicians lost that war. NOT the military. We had a leader then that would not do what was necessary to win and achieve our objective. Now we have a leader that wants to win, and the whole country is turning their backs on him. A loss in Iraq is NOT acceptable. Pressure is now being put on the Iraqis to do what has to be done with these insurgents, and to back us in doing the same. Do you want to lose in Iraq like we did in Vietnam? Give this president the chance - his heart is in the right place. He loves this country, and is willing to do what he must to let the world know that we will not be kicked in the nuts without knocking out someone's teeth, or breaking a few jaws. How can you people call yourselves American patriots, and want us to back down from these insurgents? If we back down now, every little shitpot country that has an axe to grind with America will try to attack us here, on our soil, and Americans will once again die in our own country at the hands of terrorists.

Thank you for your service. But this ain't Vietnam. Don't fall for that Liberal mess you see or hear. They want America to lose. They want their party in power in 08. That is the reason they disagree with everything our president says. Democrats were screaming for more troops and a new direction .Bush is giving them what they wanted .Now they say he is wrong again. Politics aside we cannot lose this war. We cannot allow the democrats to do the same things they did in Vietnam.

George Bush became a river boat gambler when he invaded another sovereign nation while proclaiming that there were weapons of mass destruction there. Where are they?

Even the Republicans are now questioning the logic of their leader. So how do we stop him? Laura has to get him in "Gambler's Anonymous" before he loses the country's shirt (as well as all of the young soldiers that could possibly wear it).

Yes he is and he needs therapy. We need to call in his markers, cut of his chips an do a mass intervention by the American people. Right on his doorstep. And demand that his children serve in his war which he so strongly believes in.

It's true I completely agree. You have just basically said what I've been trying to say for some time; "For every mistake he makes, people die."
