iTS happend to me. heres some tips for ya hun
- dont wear light colors
- use extra long pads(tampons are a better option, ive never had a leak with them, just change them every 4 hours.)
-if you must wear a light color take a hoody or sweater to school with you, you can tie it around your waist.
- and a heavy flow means bad cramps, so midol.

hope i helped

That happened to me too in my teens. My periods used to be very heavy.
I just dealt with it by keeping an eye on my pants and keeping a good supply of pads in my purse. Many years of aggravating periods.

My periods have been lighter now because of the Pill, but I didn't go on that until 1993.
The Pill eventually makes your periods lighter, but you have to be taking it for over a year. I don't know if your mom would want you to get on the Pill for your periods. The Pill has some unpleasant side effects (some are temporary).

Yes when i was at this party at a very expensive restaurant and i was wearing a short white dress. My period started and i sensed something trickling down my leg. I knew it wasn't urine and then i realized what it was. What to do now, luckily i was sitting down just then i was asked to get up and do a presentation. I did but i stuffed my cloth napkin in my panties i rushed through the whole thing. Really there is not much we women can do about our periods. Just double pad you may want to also insert a tampon first then a pad or two. Although you may feel like you have a diaper just grin and bear it. Lots of luck hope this helps you. Take care girlfriend.

It is not uncommon for your period to be different months. I can usually predict which months are going to be the heavy months and which are not.... for me it seems like every three months I get a really heavy one then a couple of months where it is not so bad.

Everyone is different. You may also notice that things change as you get older and mature. Right now your body is just getting all of the hormones etc figured out... and not to make it worse... after you have children, it tends to be heavier more of the time.

Yeah, it happened to me, but luckily i realized what was going on towards the end of a class when it left a mark on the chair (nasty!!) and I ran to the next class, asked to go to the bathroom, ran to the nurse and got a new pad. School nurses always have extra thick pads. To cover up the stain on my pants, the nurse gave me her jacket to tie around my waist and told me to tell people that I had found it on the floor or something and to give it back tomorrow.

OMG i feel so bad for you! One time it kinda happended to me but it only went through my pants like right below the area. I would probably just wrap a sweatshirt around me if i were you though. I'm not sure of any ways to make you peroid shorter or light and I think that there is no way to make that happen. I hope i answered your question correctly!

Don't worry - I think this has happened to aallll of us girls. Try wearing an overnight maxi pad with wings when it's heavy and change them every four hours.

I have the same problem and what I do is I wear a tampon AND a maxi pad and I have no worries. You can try that too. goodluck :)

omg u poor thing!
ive done that at the mall, when i tried on white pants at charrlette russe, and i started it earleyer and it soked through and i had to buy the pants, and i didnt even like them! it was so embaressing!
their is practically no way to make them shorter or lighter but ALWAYS bring extra pads and shorts and undies with u or in ur locker. just incase!

Birth control helped out my periods alot when I was younger. The older I got the worse it got. So I went off of the pill and my gyno told me about endrometrial ablation. Its were they insert a tube inside of your uterus and fill it with steaming hot water and burn off the lining of your uterus. I dont recommend this to anyone that is young and wanting to have children. It weakens the uterus and you are unable to carry a child. But, my periods were 7 days and bled and cramped severely. Now 3 day period and barely bleed. It worked for me. Im done having children. But birth control pill may be able to straighten everything out for you.

it's normal to be heavy sometimes. i depends how your diet is. and how fast i changes and if you drink a lot of water. it happen to me in the sixth grade. i spotted on some white shorts. i went to a Field trip and no one told me. we got back in time for 6Th period and just so happens it was P.E. i was the monitor to tell everyone what to do and what stretches. i bent over to touch my toes then i hear people talking and snickering. i didn't know until my class was over and some of my friends were trying to give me a hint but i didn't get what they were trying to say. plus in my PE class were a lot of guys i had crushes on. and my first "bf" was in that class also.
