We have to come up with 5 ideas of a REALLY good thesis sentence for a literary analysis of The Most Dangerous Game...does anyone have any ideas?...Thanks in advance.

The first of my list is "Rainsford learns that the boundaries between the right and wrong of actions are not definite."

Oooh--the hunter becomes the hunted is a good one.

Another one? Notice that Rainsford is compared to a cat throughout (the jaguar quote, which is repeated later; he perches on a rail; he climbs a tree).

OR there's the symbolism of the names--Zaroff, for example, was an OFFicer in the TZAR's army. Ivan is another name for John, the most common name in the Western world. Sanger Rainsford? Well, "Sanger" means blood, and "Rainsford" probably means "able to get through [ford] trouble [rain]"
