I met Jim Breuer (aka Goat Boy from SNL- he lives near me) when I took my goddaughter trick-or-treating. He was very nice and seemed as though he had too much Halloween candy (or something else...).
Matt Pinfield from MTV and VH1 stared at me creepily on the subway. I ignored him.

Back in the 1970's Pittsburgh Pirate slugger Willie Stargell used to hold a celebrity bowling tournament to raise money for Sickle Cell research. Lots of celebs (mostly from the sports world)...some bowl with entrants, and some are there just to talk to the spectators and give autographs. Anyway, after the bowling wrapped up and the celebs went on their way, a couple of my buddies and I went into the lounge to get something to eat. We waited at the bar to place our order, and there was Pete Rose standing next to us....no only did he pick up the tab for our food, he came over to our booth and sat with us for about half an hour, telling one hysterical baseball story after another....didn't seem anything at all like the creep so many people say he is...maybe he morphed into one later, but he was really a good guy sitting there B.S.'ing with the four of us.
Also, living in Pittsburgh and being a huge sports fan, I've had several opportunities to be around both Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr---they're both tremendous.

I've met several: Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. (One of their grandchildren was born at the local Air Force Base Hospital. My step-mother was on duty that night.) They were both lovely people.
Brenda Lee at a concert held here in Dover. Another wonder person.
Neil Sedaka, also at a concert in Dover. A fine and interesting man. Very nice.
And the highlight, Neil Diamond! At the College of William and Mary in Virginia many long years ago. Fantastic man!
None of the famous people I met were snotty.

I was a radio reporter for a short period of time in 1988, and the most famous person I met was Jesse Jackson. He was nice. He was speaking to a group of teens at a high school and had them quite inspired.

I worked in a place in a town called New Canaan in Connecticut and lots of famous people came in all the time. I met Paul Simon, Harry Conick, Jr., Brian Williams (the news guy), and many others. They were all very pleasant, regular people. I guess it just depends on the particular celebrity you meet.

My wife and I shared an elevator ride with Ross Perot.
We were carrying plastic cups from a local barbecue restaurant as I was escorting her back to her office from lunch.
Mr. Perot made a joke about our choice of "fine glassware" and told us a funny story about sending a set of 12 plastic cups (disguised in a cardboard box marked with the name of a fine crystal brand) as a wedding gift to a family friend.
He was pretty much like any other old guy I ever met. He was nice, and funny. Didn't act you'd expect a zillionaire businessman to.

I met some of the Atlanta Braves team and the pitcher at the time said that I had the most beautiful eyes (I was a little girl at the time).
