it depends on what type of material it is, if its cotten and you want to shrink it, you should tumble try, if its wool or sweater material which shrinks easiely you should flat dry, if the weather permits it, i would line dry all your towels and sheets. it doesn't matter what color a thing is, it depends on waht material it is

No. If you put it in the dryer, it will damage the garment. Most likely shrink it or something. After washing the garment, lay it flat on a well ventilated surface (like a screen) so it will dry without getting a moldy/musty smell from being wet on one side for too long. But make sure you don't hang it up to dry because you stretch it out! Good luck! Hope it lasts you a long time. (O:

It depends on the washing instructions. I only line dry or lay items flat to dry if it says to on the tag. Sometimes when drying flat I will lfuff it up in the dryer for a few minutes because the fabric can be stiff.

Tumble dry for cottons, flat dry for wool, and line dry is only for sheets and bedding because it will make everything else stiff and uncomfortable.

The color is not relevant to the drying. Drying depends on the type of fabric. Check the tags for instructions. Also if you think it might shrink, flat dry or line dry.

Each piece of clothing comes with the proper laundry instructions on the tag or in the case of the new tagless garments, printed on the inside.
If the item is 100% cotton and you don't want it to shrink do not wash it in hot or warm water or put it in the dyer!

I tumble dry my whites but when the weather is nice I love to hang my sheets, pillowcases, blankets out on the clothesline.
The outdoors make them smell so fresh!
