I'm thinking about starting a local club for local teen girls to talk about what's on their minds. How can I go about doing this?

Find a meeting place. Call some places such as public halls, churches, schools, bookstores, and see if you can find a meeting place. Set a date and time.

Publish some flyers and ask permission of business owners to place flyers in businesses where teenage girls would shop. Call the human interest section (Lifestyle, Local Events or whatever that section of your local newspaper is called). or writer of your local newspaper and ask them to publish a notice of your event, and possibly do a small article about it.

Make up some rules for the group (no name calling, swearing, etc). so everyone knows how to behave. Discuss the rules at the first meeting. Bring some sodas and snacks (unless you're having it at a place that sells food, then they may not allow you to bring in your own food). If nothing else, people will come for the free food. Then they might actually discover they like the meetings too!

Think of topics to spark discussion for the first meeting. Everyone may be nervous and afraid to talk first, so you have to get a spirited discussion going by talking about a relevant topic.

Good luck.

You can get your local government for your area to offer tips, they are usually good at this sort of stuff and would be able to help point in the right direction and offer opportunities for you to advertise about your new club. You could also look up your local youth centers and religious-non-denominational organizations that have programs for youth, they might help, too.
