just think of it as 3x4, which is 12. if you multiply two negatives ny each other you get a positive #, 1 negative x a positive will give you a negative. you just multiply the numbers and then add either a negative sign or nothing. if you have an odd number of negatives, you will have an odd numbered answer, if you have an even number of negatives your answer will be positive.

-3 times -4 = 12

Because when you multiply two negative numbers your answer is always positive.

remember this thing always! negative *(times) negative is always positive and positive*(times) negative is always negative. now for this problem as i told negative times negative positive ignore the sign and only multiply 3 and 4. it will be 12 . Multiply the three and four together (twelve) and then the two negative signs cancel each other out...so your answer is a positive twelve. For future reference...if the two signs are the same, the answer will be positive and if they are different, the answer will be negative. Hope this helps!

If you multiply -3 X -4 = 12

negative times negative and negative divided by negative is positive. so (-3)(-4)=12

this stuff is so much fun. i love algebra. but i hate geometry...
