For the older granddaughter, a Karaoke system. For the young great-granddaughter, several sizes of tap shoes, CDs teaching tap, Tea sets, costumes, dolls.
I swear by eBay shopping since I'm a shut-in and can't shop anytime I please. Also shopping this way, the items get delivered right to their recipients. What I would've paid in gas money to drive, I instead pay in shipping. Six of One and half dozen of another. I enjoy bidding and have really good luck with it. Also, I find no problem at all with PayPal account to pay by; it's all very secure these days.
Hope this helps.

I'm not a grandparent yet, but I do practically all of my shopping online. I hate malls and stores and rude or non-existent clerks, so when I buy something for my son, no matter what it is, I generally buy online. The last things I bought for him were 1) a shirt, and 2) a silly toy bird that drinks from a cup of water just because it was fun - I bought one for me, too :-)

Hi, I've bought quite a lot of things online for my children. I love it because it means you can find amazing gifts that you couldn't buy anywhere else.
I mostly use the disney store online and have bought Woody and Buzz for my little boy, games for the kids Nintendo's, books from America, toys from UK.
It's great

I've bought lots of stuff for my family online! You can get some great deals that way.
The best website I found was www.albeebaby.com They're usually cheaper on the large items (swings, carseats, etc) than a regular store and they don't charge shipping.
The most recent thing I bought online was a carseat.

Grampa and gramma don't buy for granddaughters online. We want to be sure what we get is the right size, if clothing. Not all manufactured clothing is uniform in sizing. Also, I want to be sure if buying a toy for the girls that there are no small pieces that can come off easily and be swallowed or cause injury with sharp edges and points. And if I were to buy Katie a Tickle Me Elmo, I want to be sure the darn thing works before I give it to her and does not have to be sent back for replacement.

I bought almost my entire christmas online this year. if you practice 'surfing' the web, and knowing your prices, you can find great bargains. It helps if you know what they like.
overstock.com amazon.com are great for comparison shopping. Be careful about shipping costs, if you order a heavy item, shipping can be very expensive. for example, I found a good price on a shelf but the shipping was $30.
Kids are all so different today. Spend the time to find out what they like!

take a seem at previous military clearance section on-line, too. they have less costly stuff besides, so at the same time as they have clearance sales...score! also, I stay interior the Dallas, TX section and we've some shops on Harry Hines that is the position a large number of wholesale shops are positioned, yet many promote to the usual public also. they have rediculously low expenses. i think like i'm stealing! Ask round about someplace like that close to you.
