I got my first teaching job before I graduated college. My school system offered me a contract for the next school year in April before I graduated. I started teaching when the new school year started.

I interned with a large accounting firm my final year of college and signed an offer sheet before I went back to school after the internship. I was working there full time again about 2 months after I graduated. I think in the business world, it definitely helps to do an internship because the company will use as a time to see if you can perform the basic tasks they are looking for after you graduate. Even if it doesn't result in a job with the company, you will gain some good experience and probably get paid pretty well as an intern.

Before I graduated :). I was on a work term (internship) when I learned of a new company hiring in the field I was working in. I got the number of a VP there (small start-up) from a friend, called, got an interview and was offered a position. I went back, finished my last semester of school, travelled for 10 weeks and then started my job. Worked out perfectly. I was lucky I guess.
I'm still there 5 years later.

The first time I got a business degree- nothing ever came from that. That's been....10 years. Now I have a tax licence. It took me a month to find a great job. Business doesn't seem to mean anything to people.
