If someone files a claim anonymously under the federal whistleblower act, and one of the people in the investigation reveals the identity of the whistleblower for no reason, for no purpose of the investigation, and for no purpose, and this information circulates... can I sue for breach of confidentialty, if then become harassed as a result, of someone who breached confidence?

Obtain the text of the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002. I have read it in it's entirety and there is information in there regarding the law. You can download it off of the congressional web site. Just google it and you'll be able to find it.

You should be allowed to sue, if you are harrassed as a result. Call a lawyer.

any
attorney should take a case such as this ,you would sue the person in his personal and official capicity. position, and the agency or ??? that s/he represents, you have a very good case go for it.
