Here are a few ideas that others have tried. Use a piece of bread for the floor. OR Try using duct tape - wrap it sticky side out on a paint stick or toilet brush or similar household item and pick up the shards. OR Use a lint roller, a vaccuum, and wash anything you can. OR A broom and vacuum cleaner will provide the quickest and best results. On hard floor surfaces, sweep as much of the broken glass as you can find into a pile and carefully remove the largest pieces into a trash can. It may help to dust the area lightly with sawdust, baking soda or baby powder to keep the smallest fragments of broken glass from sticking to your floor or your broom’s bristles.

Use a wet rag on the floor. Using a mop, especially a rag mop will let the slivers fall back to the floor. Using a wet paper towel or wet rag you can do a small part of the floor at a time getting all the slivers. If using paper towels you can keep using a new one making sure not to let slivers fall back to the surface.

I just read this tip! Take a piece of bread and use it to "mop up" tiny slivers.

Also, you might want to try tape -- form it into a loop around your hand, with the sticky side out. Then pat the floor.

The problem with sweeping is that sometimes it pushes the glass to the side -- or makes it fly to unknown corners! Vacuuming the whole floor of the room (and maybe the adjacent room -- sometimes the slivers stick to your feet or socks and you drag them into other rooms) sounds like the best bet.

Good luck!

Get a cheap paint roller (or use an old dried up roller) and wind masking tape along its length with the sticky side out until the roller is covered and then roll it across the entire surface of your floor. This will pick up even the tiny slivers that you can't see.

Try using tape (duct or masking). Place it sticky side down over area where glass is and press. The small fragments will stick. Keep doing this a few times and it will get rid of the pieces.

First I would vacuum with a dust brush attachment on the end of the vacuum hose. Then, try putting down some painters edging tape. You may need to reapply as needed.
