Paris is dignified because he follows social protocol. He simply does what pretty much every noble young man in the Renaissance was expected to do. He finds a woman who he thinks would make a suitable wife, asks the father's permission, works with the father to arrange the marriage. He treats Juliet with dignity and compassion, but clearly states his intention to marry her (the choice had nothing to do with the young ladies' wishes in those days).

For what its worth, Juliet treats Paris like crap, but he still treats her with respect.

Lady Capulet's description of Paris in 1.3;
Juliet and Paris' encounter in Lawrence's cell in 4.1
and, finally, Paris' protection and willingness to die, defending the honor of Juliet's CORPSE (5.3)

Paris wishes to marry Juliet.She loves only Romeo and he reciprocates.Paris is extremely undignified,as Lord Capulet clearly suspects.Paris is obsequious at best.
