Hi there,
Everyone has their own personal reasons for getting pierced, just make sure your need to do this is more important than the risk of infection, excruciating pain and mutilation. I'm not bashing piercings at all- some people are into body mods for reasons from spiritual to sexual, but if this isn't much more a fashion statement to make that area more visually appealing for a partner, don't do it.
If you have to take the plunge:
1) Join a body mod forum and visit body mod sites i.e. bmezine.com to prepare yourself for the plus and minus sides to the experience.
2) Find a reputable piercer who has an EXCELLENT track record.
3) After care- if you get it done, you'll need to take extra special TLC of that area for the rest of your life to avoid infection.
Good luck, be careful and make sure you get some good advice before you take the plunge.

What ever for? Do you need to be "da man" and prove to your friends you can "take it?" If so, then you need new friends.
No matter what anyone says, it does not enhance sexual activity and, in fact, may keep you from enjoying what you are doing.
I hope you have good health insurance.

You are asking for a lifetime of problems: infections, loss of sexual feeling, and embarrassment when you have to see a Dr.

i would be super pissed if i lost feeling there, which is a risk. however large or small of a risk-- it is not worth the loss of feeling down there....
