I am 37 weeks and my due date is Jan. 27th. every now and then I get a weird sort of pressure on the inside of my vaginal canal on the left side. Sometimes its just for a few minutes when I get up to walk around, and sometimes i get it while i'm sitting or lying down. it doesn't hurt but it feels really weird. could i be dilating and that's what i feel? or is it just pressure from the baby moving around and lowering into my pelvis??

First of all congratulations !! With the baby due so soon there really isn't much wiggle room so its most likely just pressure. Keep walking around a bit that should help, and if it persists call your doctor just to be on the safe side. Good luck

I got that with both of mine. The first time around I couldn't figure it out. The second time I was/am convinced it was the baby pushing and feeling with her hand. it is a crazy thing to feel!I could not feel the dilation (aside from the contractions!lol

It's likely just the pressure of the baby. I had a weird feeling like that too in my later weeks of pregnancy. Don't worry about it, but you can always talk to your doctor to put your mind at ease.

Could be either one of those things. You're doctor will probably start checking you next week to see if you've dilated at all.

I would say you may be feeling the pains of false labor which helps to dilate you. Good luck on your little angel!
