Bisexual males have commonly been blamed, unfairly so, for the spread of AIDS to heterosexuals, however blood transfusions prior to aids screening and shared needles spread the disease among heterosexuals. I'm not aware of any data that shows which was the greater contributing factor to the spread of HIV among all groups.

That is a very good question.
But the answer is sterotypes. Most people when they think of AIDS think gay people. Its just the way the media, and other sources portray the homosexual society. I think that nearly half of the people who have aids are bisexual anyway.

Nice question... it got me thinking! =)

Why arern't blood transfussion prior to 1984. Or needle users. The truth is it is spread because of two types of behavior, safe and unsafe. Be safe and you don't have to worry about it no matter what sexuality you are.

Its one of the known causes...but I doubt it is one of the more prominent ways to become afflicted...thus it does not get the "blame", as you state it, as others.
