And don't blame her son. He joined the military and died a hero. She is the opposite of that!

Because she idolizes Streisand, Alec Baldwin, and the other Hollywood turds.

Kinda cracks me up - all the people who condemn Bush for "all the soldiers who've been killed in Iraq" - and not one of them gives a rat's a$$ about soldiers in Iraq, it's just a very convenient excuse for hating the president.

Obviously, the truly obscene and unforgivable aspect of the attacks on Mrs. Sheehan is the fact that her oldest son was killed in a completely unnecessary war—a war which has now killed over 3,000 Americans, has permanently maimed many additional thousands of Americans, and has killed and maimed deliberately uncounted HUNDREDS of thousands of Iraqis.

Cindy Sheehan’s son was killed in that war. Focus on that fact, and forget everything else. Mrs. Sheehan herself offered some powerful words to Bush, in which she explained to Bush exactly what “hard work” is, since his entire life reveals that he doesn’t grasp the first thing about that phrase.

Cindy Sheehan’s son died in a war which even its most ardent supporters now admit was “optional.” Let me translate that: Casey Sheehan died for no good reason at all. His death had nothing to do with the defense of our country, and it did not happen because Iraq had anything to do with 9/11, which it did not. In that sense, Casey Sheehan’s was entirely unnatural—and it was the direct result of the disastrous and self-destructive course chosen by our president.

Think about the limitless, unending pain that comes from knowing that your son died for no good reason at all—that he is dead only because your president and his advisors would have their war, regardless of the facts, and that they would make other people, but never themselves or those they love so desperately, bear all its unbearable costs

Cindy Sheehan does not hate America. She hates the war that our government got our soldiers into. A war of lies all on the part of Pres. Bush and his "advisors."
Yes, her son did join the military. I don't know when he joined. Maybe it was in peacetime. Maybe he didn't expect to be in a war.
She is also a HERO. She is speaking out on an issue in which we should all be speaking out. This is an unjust war. This is a war based on lies, lies, lies.
There have been already over 3,000 American deaths because of this war. How many more do you want to see come home in body bags and caskets? Oh yes, that's right, the sight of caskets coming into Dover Air Force Base is no longer allowed to be shown on TV.
That's also something Bush started, except it was his father during the "first" Iraq war.
Get real.
To all of you who are making stupid, mean comments about her. When are you putting your asses in uniform and going to Iraq and Afghanistan? I bet NOT ONE OF YOU have ever had one of your own MURDERED.

I don't think is is a case where she hates America , but , she knows the hurt when you lose your child for a cause that was manufactured, and she probable don't want other mothers to go thru the same pain, for such a worthless cause, after all what was this war about? the only reason I can see for it is to get rid of Israels worst enemy, and we did it , but at what cost ??

Why do you hate Cindy Sheehan so much? She is just as much for America as anybody, she has the right and duty to protest an illegal and criminal war in which the commander in thief should be brought up on charges for.

Cindy Sheehan is simply a bereaved mom that needs medical help. Even the democrats have abandoned her after seeing her condition.

i latterly study that Cindy is so disgusted with the Libs she presented she replaced into leaving the Democratic social gathering--so shall we see how lengthy the Libs save cheering this nutcase on. Cuba should be a best position for her.

Why is when one expresses views that are opposed to the present administration they are called UN AMERICAN! The right wing loves to believe they are only ones who are patriotic and wrap themselves in the flag. How many of these patriots are in uniform and fighting in Iraq?

I don't think she hates America. She just thinks the administration needs to reconsider their strategy in Iraq which is not going well. This war has destroyed lives, families and property in both America and Iraq. She is speaking out because her conscience tells her to. Going to a war that is based on lies spun by the administration is immoral.

She's a grieving mother trying to deal with her son's death. She's dealing with displaced anger. Hopefully she will come to terms with her son's death in a more constructive manner, at least for her sake. It's a grief one can't understand unless one's lost a child.
