I think we are headed for somoe serious times. Although America has boasted of her power and might, I think this time we are going to see our troops retreating in the end. Not because they are stupid but because the forces and powers that be are far greater for we fight against principalities and the powers of darkness.

All the money that's been wasted on this war, should have been spent on the best possible homeland security. I don't see what good Vietnam did. What good will Iraq do. I think none. The insurgents will keep coming in from Syria Afghanistan Pakistan, and Iran. Our soldiers are in real danger. At this point Bush is more concerned about his image, than the safety of America, or the Troops. I know that terrorism is real and it will not stop. But The United States needs to get ready for a battle on our own soil.

Jon Stewart described it the best, this is what basically what Bush did with Iraq. He cooked a big pile of sh*t and it didnt taste very well and now hes saying " you kno what, i think it needs more salt". By adding 20,000 more troops ( most of who are on their 3rd of 4th duty), we have the same # of troops that we had two yrs ago, which cud not stabalize Baghdad, so what difference will this make? Absolutly nothing, We either have to go big, and make a significant increase in troops or pull out immediatly and admit our mistakes, we are not there to fu*in babysit them. There was no justification to go into Iraq and no justification to stay in Iraq and spreading democracy is not a justification. Who is Bush to kill our generation of kids to spread his idiotic beliefs? So for ur answer troop increase is just another mistake, and ikno there are many more to come, its actually very sad, this whole situation.

I honestly don't know. Given that Uncle Sam has TOTALLY F'D UP the situation, I think that we have a responsibility to bring some order to Iraq. Maybe now people can better understand why Saddam was such a despot. But, if havoc still reigns in Iraq by this summer, we've gotta do something else. I just hope the blood-shed stops. We must consider Saddam in the context of the chaos which is left in his absence.

As Colin Powell said, "If you break it, you own it." Well, we broke it, we broke it REAL bad!

Consider this - to help our troops when they need it most:

Think of Military Strategy 101 - alternative thinking:
May I suggest - Military strategy - after we had thousands of people killed on Sept. 11, 2001:

Ok, may I give you a point of view if you read between the lines:

The 20,000 troops are needed because our men and women are exhausted. They have been doing double duty, and in order to bring them home, they need support now.

Would you deny them support now?

Don't you see (maybe) that this is the way we need to bring our troops home? We must not leave those there without the help needed to keep them safe now.

When you are exhausted, don't you see how others are needed to pick up the slack, and allow our troops there a little bit of sleep and R&R? You can't just cut and run as many would be killed. This is the General's concern. So may you please understand that in order to vacate a situation, you must have someone to cover your back while you gather the tired troops and allow them to leave quietly.

Would you allow the Iraqi troops to "COVER OUR TROOPS BACKS WHILE THEY LEAVE". YEAH RIGHT! THE ONLY ONES I TRUST TO COVER OUR BACKS, ARE OUR OWN TROOPS.

That's military strategy 101 - if you ever take this in college, it's amazing. Never trust anyone other than your own troops to "have your back"!

GOD bless us one and all, always.

i dont think there's much of a choice in the matter. It seems like with the plan they have to secure a certain area so the iraqi government can take over, is a good one. It seems like it. I just want the troops to come home so they can be here to enforce marshall law when the government gets ready to shut down America.

review the answers given to your question and take a poll. 50-50. feeling is not important. facts are. opinions are acceptable provided they come from knowledgeable people. Not even the President had a intimate circle to tell him before the war -- that it was for the long run. indeed the war lasted more than it was planned. why? because of inadequate planning etc. Now too late to go back to square one -- the best the President could do is follow course. and that is exactly what he intends to do. good luck.
