1/4x - 1 > 3/4
1/4x > 7/4
1/4x ( divide by 1/4) > 7/4 (divide by 1/4)

x > 7

x + 1/2 < -3/4
2x +2/4 < -3/4
2x < - 5/4

x < -5/8

Are they two separate problems? For the first one I got x < -1.25 and for the second x > 7. No gurantee they're right, I haven't done math in years. And if they are both part of the same problem, then my answer is definitly wrong.
