a make-up beginner should start of with the drug store stuff because make up anywhere else gets kind of expensive. That's what I started off with and now I use MAC. if your 12, u are a little young for make up anyway. Stick to stylin' barbie's hair

well, what do you want out of your make-up, and why not any drug store brands, you need to give us more info for us to help you. Are drug store brands too expensive, or is the quality not good enough for you. There are so many great brands out there that each do something really well, so in order for me to answer your question I need to know what it is you want from your makeup.

There is a brand called mark. I think you would love it. They have very trendy colors and styles. High quality and relatively low price. It is manufactured by Avon. Check out the website below for more info.

I would say to try stuff like bonne bell, bon-bons, or mary-kate and ashley. They're designed for younger people, so the shades aren't too severe. And bon-bons come in small packaging so they are only a dolar a pop.
Try to get her stuff with more shimmer and glitter as opposed to dark shades that she's too young for.
Good luck hun â¥

I dont like clinique personally.... I would go with seforas. It's reasonably priced, good quality make-up. Urban Decay is generally a good brand for teenage girls.

I do Estee Lauder. The Double-Wear. It stays on real nice, doesn't clog pores, and the friendly sales associate will help you get the right shade! You just can't get that Target!

I am big fans of Bobbie Brown and MAC. they have the professional quality make-up, but they are a bit costy. Of course, it is worth it, and you can ask them advice and they can try the make-up for you too. you can go to deparment store, and Lancome and Clinque are good for mascara if you have problem with skin.
good luck!
