These 'celebrity' reality shows usually use has-beens. By what stretch of any warped imagination can Jack Osborne possibly be considered a celebrity?

That same question should be asked about the likes of Nicole Richie, Paris & Nicki Hilton and even Jack's sister Kelly... they all are the over privileged offspring of what we consider real celebrity... the torch is passed on to the spoiled remains !

I think their is a variety of reasons those "celebs" where chosen. It had to do with anything from availability to reaching a certain demographic.

I guess the producers feel that Jack could reach a certain group of tv watchers. He does have a mildly interesting background though if you think about it.

1. He's the son of one of the most famous rockers ever in Ozzy Osbourne and his mom and sister are somewhat recognizable (Sharon had a tv talk show, while his sis Kelly had an album).

2. He used to be a drug addict, which says a lot about someone if they can get clean and become a police officer. I believe he's also gotten into shape over the last few years.
