Life is what you make of it. You are alive, aren't you? So live! Don't waste your time on here asking questions that you think will clarify hings, when all you get are answers that ridicule you. No one can answer this question for you, only you can answer it through LIVING.

it means your soul is in a better place in time..and if you listen to music you find that the idea of life is not in places because we all have been there before... it is about life and the ones that experience it and sometimes that is good and not so good. Love has a everlasting life and life is one that goes for a time that we are given and happiness is one that happens forever

I think happiness is the ultimate goal in life.
Some take drugs to achieve happiness, but in the long run drugs create unhappiness and suffering.
Some people look for happiness in their jobs, some in creating art, making music, whatever.
The bottom line people want to feel good, and be happy.
I think the meaning of life is to find happiness which is good for you and good for the people around you. To find a happiness that helps and make other people happy as well. In other words, contribution makes you and others happy.
So I think contributing is the meaning of life. Giving out love to the people around you is the ultimate goal in life. If you give out love and respect you will receive it 10 fold and you will reach happiness and fullfillment.

In my opinion, this life is a learning experience to prepare us for a next life. The things we learn here will serve us beyond this level. We learn of war, of peace, and how we view and deal with our fellow man. Our emotions and perceptions of everything in our world is a step to something greater in the future. I think that we continue past our physical death, and theres a lot of evidence in favor of that very thing. Many folks believe that this life is all there is, and scoff at any thought of anything beyond this existance but IMO that is arrogant, selfish and lacking in personal spirit. We all go on, christian or athiest, jew or muslim.............

I think it is to have children. If you put some thought into it, we are programmed to breed, and buy breeding our race achieves some sort of immortality, as our genes and soul is passed onto our offspring, and then onto theirs so on and so forth.
We are all immortal in a way.
Some one or something had to set this thing off in the first place, that is the key question. Who started it all?

Consider this. If you look at the amazing design of all of Earth and everything alive (basic biology), and consider the vastness of the universe and the complexity of DNA, it is very clear that there must be a God who created these things. Since we can't fully understand what has been designed, we can assume that God is far more complex and far larger than everything that exists.
How can we know God? We can't. God must reveal himself to us. He has done just that through history. Look at the Jewish people. They still exist today and they are the oldest surviving people on earth who still follow their traditions. If you look at the bible and read and study it, you'll find that it was written over thousands of years and compiled together. It was written by kings and peasants, tax collectors and doctors, but it communicates one message, which is man's meaning.
The meaning of life is this. To glorify God. We will all glorify God in our lifes one way or another. First to those who love God. God calls us out a life of self centeredness and sin into His light. We have all broken His commandments (lieing, stealing, coveting, lusting, etc), but God himself came down as a Man, Jesus Christ, to live a sinless life, and then to die on the cross in our place. He died for sin, and took the punishment that we deserve, so that if we trust in Him and His sacrifice and repent of our sins and ask God for forgiveness, then walk after Him by his guidance, we will be saved from eternal punishment and brought into eternal glory. God will then be glorified because all the angels and everything that exists will exclaim how good and merciful God is to save evil people such as us.
For those who refuse to repent, and continue to live a life of sin. Many times those people will get much wealth. Many times these people are the beautiful people or the powerful people. But for those people who live lives of selfishness and disobedience to God, they will get God's justice. God is Good and Just, just like a Judge in court. On the last day when we die, God will punish all those who'se names were not written in the Book of Life, and when this happens, the sinners who realize all of their sins will not say that their punishment is unfair. They will deserve it, because they loved what was evil. The powerful will be cast into the lake of fire, showing how much more powerful God is. The beautiful will be stripped of their beauty and be shown as the decaying bones they are on the inside, and the Rich will be pennyless, worse than beggars as they are cast into eternal hell. All to show God's might, His power, and the seriousness of breaking his law, the 10 commandments.
So that is the meaning of Life. For those who love God and are called by Him, it is to praise His name forever. To sing songs to his name, and to love him for being so good. For those who end up in Hell, the smoke of their torment will rise forever allways serving as a reminder God's Justice and His Wrath against evil.
