I never got this. Why ask a bunch of people who don't know you, don't know the situation, and the vast majority of whom lack medical degrees if you're knocked up? Why not just go pee on the test thing and see what the deal is?

I just don't get it.

Yes, I agree completely, but then you must also remember some of the girls/women that ask if they are pregnant, sometimes ask whether the things that are happening to them are symptoms of pregnancy.

Yes, they should educate themselves, but I dont mind answering their questions. They are just asking for advice from women who has children and have been through it all.

Most of these 'women' are young girls who aren't educated on the subject and most of them are too afraid to ask anyone for advice, so it might seem easier and they might feel more comfortable asking the questions on Yahoo! answers.Rather be safe than sorry, I always say.Sorry, dont mean to be a stick in the mud.

I don't expect you to understand, because you're a man, and thats cool.

Women get...highly anxious at the thought of being pregnant. Very few of us actually take the information given here seriously, and we go to the clinic and take a urine test. But sometimes we want to see all the possibly opinions first.

Trust me...if I trusted all of the answers that I received on this site about pregnancy, I'd probably be sterile right now. People just like calming down some of their fears and questions, and it's good enough to just see what people think before you go to the doctor.

*LOL* Me neither but I just go with it. What I wonder is why can't they look it up on other sites? There are very informative sites on the internet. Not to mention the little things called pregnancy tests. People ask the questions because I don't think some of them want the answer or they don't want to be disappointed. It's the best answer I can give because I am not them. With that said I think it's more of a reassurance thing.

Sorry but I have to agree. If you don't want anyone to see you taking the test go to get a free test at a pregnancy support center (look in the phone book) or to you regular doctor. The only way to know if you are pregnant or not is to take a test, not ask a stranger.

Well, I'll tell you. Some times you just need to talk to someone who may understand what you are going through. For a woman it can be very fustrating trying to get pregnant so a little bit of asking questions and seeing what other people went through just helps.

They want to hear other womens experiences. That is all. They know, or at least I hope they know that they arent going to get a correct answer, but are just curious. No harm in asking a question. If people dont like the question , then they dont need to answer it.

Like everyone else, they want instant info without trying to do anything of their own. If you want to know the SYMPTOMS of pregnancy... www.plannedparenthood.com. They could take a test.. it would be to mature of an experience. Of course, they were mature enough to have sex, maybe they should be mature enough and responsible enough to find out their own symptoms. Wait... mature and responsible... those a 2 things that we don't encourage anymore. Nevermind.

I think that it's mainly younger folks asking about it. They are too afraid to buy a pregnancy test or talk to their parents. I'm going to say MOST of them... not all. It baffles me how they can be too scared to buy a test, but not scared of having sex, getting pregnant or contracting an STD.
Morons... basically.

my guess is that here it is safe for some people to ask if their symptoms are something to worry about before they go through the cost of a test, or risk someone seeing them with the test.

I agree, some things just don't need to be asked here. Deep down I believe the people asking really know what they need to do.
