we were 21 and 22 when we got married (2 1/2 years ago). we dont have kids, we're just young and married. everyone else (particularly in our families) got married and had kids waaaay younger than we did. we don't have kids and we're going to college (i'm going to be a dentist and he's going for his masters in buissness). where is the problem? we've even traveled the world, thanks to our 4 years in the air force!

I can't explain it - my husband and I married at 20 - we didn't have kids until we had been married 3 years and have been married 21 years and they STILL say it.

I think it has something to do with the fact that they can't grasp what they don't understand. Some people do still fall in love and stay there.

It's called jealousy. Don't worry what other people think. You are in love and happy and that is all that matters. A matter of fact if you let this get to you it can cause marital problems. Alot of people these days wait to get married and they expect the same from the rest of us. i married when I was 16. no one believed we would make it. 7 years down the way and it is still going strong. I'm still young but do not regret it. don't worry about what the rest of them think. do what makes you happy.

Because statistically, young people who marry early end up divorced. Maybe you are an exception to the rule.

Best of luck for many years of happiness.

People usually think young people are not mature enough to handle the responsibilities of marriage. Don't let other people's comments bother you, if you know you're ready and are happily married.

It's a great idea to be married young! Think of all the memories and experiences you'll have together. I think it's the best way.
