It depends on yourself really. like what kind of a look you are looking for as well.
I know the Razr is a really hot phone right now but ya to tell you the truth i think too many people have it to make it a hot phone. Depending on your use of the phone usually camera phones have really poor quality but ya i believe the new sony ecrison and razr has about a 3.0 megapixel camera.
Both the phone and like flip phones are good and it depends a phone has a smaller screen and a flip phone probably bigger.
But i think getting a phone that is mp3 enabled is good.. like that can play an mp3 that way you have a cool ringtone.

i personally find that LG phones don't last as long although they do have the new LG chocolat which is cool but it tends to break apart around a yr (my phone anywayz) connection problems and such
try to get a phone that is a durable brand

Motorola and LG seem to be emerging as the phones with the best features and the lowest cost.
I have had very good service from my LG VX6100 phone. It even fell off my belt clip once while on the Harley and skidded down the road flipping and flopping till it landed in the ditch. I found it the next day after it had been rained on all night. I let it have a whole day to dry out and when I turned it on it worked perfectly! It has some battle scars, but it works. The pictures are okay but not nearly as good as the new camera phones that have the 1M Pixel camera. If that is not important to you go for the phone that has the features that are most important. A personable provider will talk you through the features. Such as whether there is an extra charge for texting, extra charge to download weather or other such info. Also, look at the providers. I have had excellent service from US Cellular and my phone works almost everywhere I go. They have towers all over the place. The biggest factor in your satisfaction will be the carrier. But if your folks already have a carrier they willl get by for less if they just add you to their service so you may not need to worry about chosing a company.
Good luck...

The one that:
a) works well where you need it to.
b) does all the stuff you want/need it to do well.

You should ask people with cell phones what company they have and how good the service is. You need to check where ever it will be used. That is the best way.

Then go to that dealer and have them show you cell phones.

Budget, country you're in, features that you want/need the plan you're going on, etc. are all necessary to pick out the best phone.

I suggest you take the quiz below.
