Your drivers have been hosed. Reinstall the drivers to correct the issue. If that doesn't work, then it might be the video card.

Hi What is your monitor beside, if it is the actual Hard Drive this will eventually distort the view on the monitor. I monitor is ok sitting on top of a monitor because it has the stand and the monitor is a few inches away from the actual hard drive. But if you have your monitor right beside the tower, if it is to close it will cause the distortion.

You didn't give much info but my guess is that the refresh rate set in your software is higher than your monitor was built to use. Anyhow, try setting your monitor options back to defaults.

It has happened to me till now. in accordance with very own journey. i've got thought having the... (what d'you call that area returned?) tricolor tube (or something like that) replaced, however the repairman stated it ain't properly worth it. no longer because of the fact the wear and tear replaced into previous restoration, "it purely does no longer be properly worth it" he stated, because of the fact pc video exhibit units are greater decrease priced or no longer that high priced in recent times. So, I purely offered a clean one.

Is the monitor flat screen or not. if it is flat screen i can't help you. the non-flat screen monitor i can help you with.

You whack the side of the moitor. Not so hard that it breaks but enough so it goes back to normal

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

Seems like there's something wrong with your graphics drivers. Try reinstalling them.
