Longtime residents of San Marcos, Texas can remember Aquarena Springs by the mermaid performers in the submarine theater. By far, the most popular attraction was "Ralph, the Famous Swimming Pig." Ralph swam around Aquarena Springs performing tricks and dives until the early 1990s, when he retired.Other features of the park was a Swiss Sky Ride (a Von Roll skyride), an observation deck that moved vertically 220 feet above the lake and rotated 360 degrees. Paul Rogers developed a hotel there and introduced glass bottom boats on the lake.Texas State University purchased Aquarena Springs in 1994. Aquarena Springs was founded by A.B Rogers, and was operated as an amusement park until 1996, when the park was closed and converted by the university to an environmental learning center, now known as Aquarena Center. The center still offers glass bottom boat tours, now it also includes environmental education tours, an endangered species exhibit, Wetlands Boardwalk, natural aquarium and scientific diving training.

There were some grammar mistakes.

"Other features of the park was a Swiss Sky Ride (a Von Roll skyride), an observation deck that moved vertically 220 feet above the lake and rotated 360 degrees." ---> The verb should be 'were' because your subject, features, is plural. Also, if I'm reading correctly, you are referring to two features. The Swiss Sky Ride and the observation deck. If you only have two features, you separate them in the sentence by the word 'and' and not the comma. This sentence is actually very confusing. I would rewrite it like this:

Other features of the park were the Swiss Sky Ride (a Von Roll skyride) and an observation deck that moved vertically 220 feet above the lake and rotated 360 degrees.

If the sky ride is the same as the observation deck, then the sentence reads better like this:

Another feature of the park was the Swiss Sky Ride, a Von Roll skyride which was an observation deck that moved vertically 220 feet above the lake and rotated 360 degrees.

The other mistake I found was at the end.
"The center still offers glass bottom boat tours, now it also includes environmental education tours, an endangered species exhibit, Wetlands Boardwalk, natural aquarium and scientific diving training."

This should be two sentences. Put a period after "tours", and start the new sentence at "now." Also add a comma after "aquarium" to end your series. As your sentence reads now, it is a run-on sentence.

I agree with rearranging the order of your sentences. You should go from the earliest and most general information in the beginning and proceed to the most recent and most specific details in your paragraph.

Not knowing what this is being used for, I will correct for grammar and usage as best as possible.

The lead sentence should be:

Aquarena Springs was founded by A.B. Rogers, and operated as an amusement park until 1996. In 1994, the park was purchased by Texas State University, subsequently closed in 1996, and converted by the University into an environmental learning center now known as Aquarena Center.

Longtime residents of San Marcos, Texas, remember Aquarena Springs for the mermaid performers in the submarine theater. The most popular attraction, by far, was "Ralph, the Famous Swimming Pig". Ralph swam around Aquarena Springs, performing tricks and dives until the early 1990's, when he retired. Another feature of the park included a Swiss Sky-Ride (a Von Roll sky-ride), an observation deck that moved vertically 220 feet above the lake and rotated 360 degrees. Paul Rogers developed a hotel there and introduced glass bottom boats on the lake.

Today, the center still offers glass bottom boat tours, as well as environmental education tours, an endangered species exhibit, scientific diving training, and Wetlands Boardwalk, a natural aquarium.

----------------------------------

Hope this helps. I know from your comments that you didn't want this totally re-written, however, the history should come first.

If I were writing this, I would also include where Aquarena was founded by A.B. Rogers in the first sentence, as well as when. You can still repeat it in the second paragraph, but you would eliminate "Texas".

I adjusted some sentences so that they did not begin with a pronoun.

It seemed that the sky-ride was the only other amusement mentioned in that sentence, so I changed the language to singular, rather than plural. If I am mistaken, of course, change it back. I was curious about the use of the word "deck" which implies an open area used for standing. Not knowing the park I did not change this but if, as I suspect, it was not a "deck", another description could be enclosed carriages, or cages. Only you would know that!

Who is Paul Rogers? maybe a son? and when did he build the hotel?
In the last sentence, I revised the order of some items. Is Wetlands Boardwalk the natural aquarium or is the natural aquarium a separate entity unto itself? It was ambiguous.
If "natural aquarium" is a separate entity, then put an "a" in front of it.

Sounds good to me =)

You might want to change some of the sentences around though... i found it a bit weird when going from the main attraction (ralph) to other features. Try putting the other features last. And about the park
at the beginning. Like who founded it, where it was at etc.

Good Job =)

you should rephrase your question. it sounds more like a command than a kind request. at this rate no one would help you proof-read unless they're in a extremely generous mood!!!

AND, you ought to do your homework yourself!
