I know of one which worked out quite well. I was married for 10 years, my high school sweetheart. We had a son. She left me and took our 5 year old with her. He was 22, she was going on 31. They married the day the divorce was fiinal and lived happily, had a daughter, until couple of years ago when he died from a degenerative disease, which I forget the name of. He apparently overmedicated. According to my son, there was never any strife, no problems, except for the disease he had, and his mother who apparently was not as underatanding as my mother at being a mother-in-law. So, yes, it can work out. She was happy, he was happy, the children were happy.

Pretty good. Just because the female is older than the male should make no difference. The only problem that could really affect this is kids. Do you want them and when? Just remember that with her being the oldest, her biological clock is ticking - once she hits around 35 her chances of conceiving are already down to about half that of someone in their 20's. Other than that if you both feel that its right, that is all that matters.

Probably won't work out. There's a huge maturity difference between those 2 ages. If it were 32 yr old man and 41 yr old woman it could work. At 23 you haven't been an adult long enough.

I suggest you finish college if you really want to make it work.
She will never tell you this, but no woman takes a young guy seriously unless thay see him making changes in his life for the better, and I'm not talking about becoming a bartender at the local strip club.
I'm talking about becoming educated so that when and if you decide to get serious, you will be a better catch and a good money earner. The fact is this...most of the men her age double your salary, and if she chooses you over them, then you might just be the flavor of the week.
P.S> ladies, young guys usually have 6 -packs, because they can't afford to eat like an older man...so if you like young men for that reason you will only be satisified for the short term.

Why couldn't it work? If the two involved really care and love one another then anything is possible. As far as the chances of it working out, I think each should know as much about the other as possible. If not then surprises could kill the relationship at a later time down the road.

I am a thirty something and I would think the younger 20's guy would have to be pretty immmature. Not that it wouldn't be fun for a while but hey everybody gets sick of the playstation.lol Really, I would think somewhere in your relationship you would have to balance each other out if you really want to make a go of it. She will get tired of the daily romps in the hay, no matter how good they are. The communication will have to start somewhere.
Years of experience!lol

If they have similar interests and goals in life and a similar maturity level it could work. Age is just a number. I'm 24 and my husband is 32. We've been married for 4 years- and we have a solid marriage.

I don't believe you are mature at 23. You are most likely to still running around chasing tail. This just happens to be mature tail and this intrigues you. Wait until you are at least 28 or older. Men don't slow down until they are past 28 or 30.

I'd say very rare...she's a full nine years older than he is, which means that, while she was graduating high school, he was still learning basic multiplication. The maturity is also a big factor. She's got nine years of extra experience and wisdom, and he doesn't and may have habits that aren't nearly as mature as she needs them to be (e.g. partying, staying out late, wild spending, etc).

Slim to midland in the long run. Odds could be a little better if you're truly in love, but I doubt that is the case. I've dated women who were several years older and some who were several, okay, a LOT younger.
My vote goes to the younger one's for likey success in long-term relationships.
