I am 21 weeks pregnant. Yesterday after my urine I found 3/4 drops of blood in my vegina. After that there is no bleeding symptom till now (50 hours). No pain. No itching. While urinate no burning sensation. Everything is fine except the traces of this blood. What is the possible reason for this problem.
Please share your experience.

From what I understand, some bleeding during pregnancy is normal. But I would alert my doctor just in case.

The uterus is doing some serious stretching, and what you could have is the blood from some ruptured capilaries (small blood vessels) due to all of the stretching. But again, I would tell your doctor. If your doctor isn't worried, I wouldn't worry, either. With it being only a trace, more than likely it is nothing. If it gets worse, or you start to notice the bleeding getting heavier, call the doctor asap.

You really should go to the doctor as soon as possible. If it has to do with the pregnancy you might need to go on bed rest. But it seems like you notice it when you wipe. I had this after I passed a small kidney stone. And when I went to the doctor she said that a couple drops of blood when you wipe could also be a urinary track infection. Next time you wipe try and dab only were your pee comes out to see if the blood is coming from there or your vagina. Hope this helps!!!

Pregnancy Complications

Pregnancy complications are problems that occur only during pregnancy. They may affect the woman, the fetus, or both and may occur at different times during the pregnancy. For example, complications such as a mislocated placenta (placenta previa) or premature detachment of the placenta from the uterus (placental abruption) can cause bleeding from the vagina during the last 3 months of pregnancy. Women who bleed at this time are at risk of losing the baby or of bleeding excessively (hemorrhaging) or dying during labor and delivery. However, most pregnancy complications can be effectively treated.

Well, any bleeding needs to be reportes to your OB immediately.I had bleeding during my 1st and 2nd trimester with my 1st son and I am 34 weeks along now and had bleeding during the 1st trimester with this baby too.My doctor said that it was because my cervix is so tender and lots of things can make it bleed-sex,pushing for a bowel movement, lifting my almost 2 year old son etc.
Still let your OB know!

You really need to call your doctor. This happened to me 3 times with my first pregnancy.I was told if the blood is red then there is great concern if it is brownish then it is old blood being flushed out during urination.I would not take any chances go ahead & contact your doc. asap! Good luck!!

Call the doctor, it is not normal to bleed at all this early unless you have had sex or an internal exam by the doctor!
