I heard somewhere that most people dream in black and white, where as when I ask my friends, I have never gotten a yes to the black and white dreams. Is this just a theory or is it proven? Do any of you dream in black and white?

No because one can only dream of thing that the brain processed, so if one is colour blind or blind from birth they have not not processed colours so they can not see colours.

I have had very few dreams in color; most dreams that I can remember are in black and white. I've never heard the theory that most people dream in black and white. Usually when I tell people that I dream in black and white they think that's pretty weird...

I have heard that somewhere too. However, I do not remember ever having a black and white dream. Perhaps we do not remember these ones as well (we have about 7 dreams each night, but don't remember the majority of them). Or maybe we actually do dream in black and white, but we assign color names to things, so that when we wake up we think that something was a color but it really wasn't and we only think so because of the label. ah...dreams are odd.

I've never dreamed in black and white personally. but I have a friend who does, so it's definitely possible. I'm not sure about the theory that MOST people dream in black and white, though.

Also, I've heard that some people dream in snapshots, like one photo after another. I'm not sure about that one, as I don't know anyone that dreams like that personally.

No, people dream in all different ways. Sometimes people dream only in words also!

I usually dream in color, but I have had a dream that's black and white with a blue tint covering the whole thing.

I've actually never heard that people dream in black and white...my dreams are normally in very vivid color. I actually just dreamed that I visited colombia, and the sky was blue and the buildings were orange, and there were big green palm trees. I asked my mom out of curiosity and she said she dreams in color too.

that's weird! you should remember that, it would make a great research project in college.

Most of the time, we dream, we concentrate on the content of the dream, not the color. Even black and while is color. We don't really see it. However, if our subconscious mind tell us about certain color. Then those dreams may have special meaning in terms of color.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I do not. I do not know why nor can I predict when one or the other will occur. I do know that if I eat a spicy meal just before going to bed, I will get "weird" unpredictable dreams.
