I have used Limewire for almost 2 years but I paid for the lifetime subsciption. I am not sure if they still offer that or not. I have the basic package and have only had a few problems out of it and that was just downloading a few songs here and there that were incomplete. The majority of the time, every song is perfect. I keep a firewall up and only share the files I have already downloaded. If the song will not work with your IPod as it is, you can probably download a converter to do that for you. Hope this helps!

My fiance and I have been using limewire for about 2 years now. And a lot of my college friends also use limewire. Limewire is free music, video, software, etc. downloads. You can find almost anything on limewire. I have yet to meet anyone who has gotten a virus through limewire. I haven't and neither has my fiance, or any of my friends. To be on the safe side, make sure you a virus protection system, just in case one does happen to sneak through. But most of the time you get completely virus free downloads, and limewire doesn't install cookies on your computer, so you don't have to worry about spam. If you want the songs to add to your iPod automatically, you can set up limewire so that it downloads to your iTunes library, or wherever you want, and have the songs automatically imported to your iTunes library umpon completion. When you plug your iPod up to your computer, the songs should automatically add themselves, if you have the settings set up that way.

yes its free. you can get viruses if u download certain things but a warning will pop up letting you know its corrupted. you search for your song or video and a list comes up and you download the one you want. yes it also works with ipods...i use it all the time :)

we had nothing but hassle with limewire....really would recommend that you dont put it on the comp IMO.

Bear share was another nightmare one................between those two we basically scrapped the comp and got a new one with house rule of NOTHING like that to be downloaded.

Regards

LIme wire is good as long as you aren't downloading junk. IF the song you are downloading has good quality, a high rating its good.
