many people would consider having a strong personality as being loud, aggressive, maybe even sometimes bossy and argumentative....but i have met many ppl like this and as soon as they are confronted with a problem they turn into drama queens/kings......to me someone with a strong personality is someone who can stand up on his/her own 2 feet and handle their situations with dignity and grace...so....what do you think is the true definition of someone with a strong personality?

Have you ever been sitting in a room with a lot of people and in walks a man or a women whose mere presence draws everyone's attention toward them. No words spoken but everybody's eyes are not only drawn to the new comer but stay on them for longer than they would anyone else. We say that these people have "presence". No words were spoken by this person, no high fashion plate is this person. They are usually dressed very well and for women the make-up and smile are just perfect. Mix that quality with being a really nice person; not full of themselves but, articulate, intelligent, and a good smile, one that is there much more often than it's not.

Those qualities are what make a strong personality
These people are usually not the ones referred to by some of the others I've read in the answers.
These people have no desire to be anything but "nice" and I mean that in the nicest terms.

My definition: A person who makes an impression in a very few moments (for good or ill) and is remembered for ever afterward.

being defined as such myself, i've come to think it means a person that is intelligent and self-assured enough to refuse to be led on any subject and is capable of making it and doing well no matter what situation arises and maybe most important, carries this off while maintaining dignity and compassion for others.

someone who is able to deal with any problems they are facing without having a nerves breakdown. someone who is able to defend themselves when others put them down. someone who is raising a bunch of kids on their own, is able to hold down a job, clean the house on their own.
