it is so annoying and gross, usually it happens when i have a cold and have been blowing my nose a lot, but sometimes it is just randow. why?!?! once there was a REALLY bad one, and i don't mean to be gross, but for a few minutes i was going through a stack of 10 tissues per 10 seconds. is there ANYTHING i can do to prevent them? (i already put vaseline in my nose, which seems to help a little) or any way to make them stop faster? ice works, but anything else? thanks so much!!

one- if you pick ur nose STOP
two- get a humidifier it may be really dry
three- to make a nosebleed stop DONT tilt ur head backwards, look straight forwards and pinch the bridge of your nose with a tissue to keep the blood from going out the bottom

I get a bloody nose 2 times a day...My mom says I'ts just the weather here in Rhode Island. I use a dehumidifier next to my bed at night, that helps keep my nose moist and not dry. I also use "Little Noses" It's a liquid that you squirt up your nose once a day and it helps prevent bloody noses. It works great. You can buy it at your local drugstore. I know they are gross..but I havegotten used to them. I'll take a bloody nose over a throw up bug any day!

Hope this helps!

depends on what kind of bloody nose you have. many times it's due to a popped blood vessel. though it may seem gross and a bit drastic, get a paper towel and blow the heck out of your nose. there will be a lot of blood and hopefully the popped vessel will come out as well.

or it just may be the tissue scraped off somehow(just picked it too hard ; ] ) in this case better to just plug your nose, keeping your nose pointed in front of you not up, and wait for the scratch to heal.

some of us just have weaker sinuses than others. if this is the case, try to stave off from snorting anything.

good luck with life.

They sell a nasal gel at local pharmacy's you can put in your nose with a q-tip instead of the vaseline and definitely sleep with a humidifier. Also try using tissues with lotion in them (they sell them like that) so that it doesn't dry out your nose even more.

Indoor heaters causes nose bleeds in the winter because they take all the moister out of the air. A humidafier will help you out if you put it next to your bed when you sleep... Good luck!!

You have a broken blood vessel in your nose, any pressure, like sneezing, or blowing your nose can trigger a bleed, if they don't stop in a week or so, see a doctor.

try using a humidifier. Bloody Noses usually means that your nose is really dried out

are you picking it or does it just do it for no reason. cold weather causes innerds to get raw and scab up... and when you pick it, thinking it's nosemeat, it's actually a scab and your nose will bleed bigtime. since any head wound bleeds bad, it'll appear that you have major problems....
allergies cause nose bleeds too..

the causes might be
1. high blood
2. weather or climate
3. injury
4. broken vein in the head

you have yourself checked up coz you cant say it's safe...better make sure than regret later...
and also dont blow your nose too much...
