Is there any way of knowing when I will go into labor? This is my second child and my first one was delivered somewhere between 34-36 weeks. I am now 35 weeks and completely sick of being pregnant with a toddler running around. Are there any natural ways to speed up effacement besides sex?

you could try walking. I know walking eases the pain during labor and helps sway the baby down and and helps it with positioning. you could also try sitting on a birthing/yoga ball with your legs open and swaying back and forth. I don't know how well it will speed up effacement, it might help push the baby further down so you dilate quicker...?

I have heard that walking 30 min a day helps,also drink pop pr coffee with caffeine,having ankles and nipples rubbed-this is all I have heard.

Walking..Stairs or with one foot on the curb & the other in the gutter. Eat something spicy! Or try raspberry leaf tea! Sounds like its gonna be soon. Congrats!!!!!!

all i know about is old wives remedies like cod liver oil, but my dad just said something about nipple stimulation. it releases a certain hormone that can bring about labor. obviously not a guarantee for labor, but it does bring about uterine contractions.

have sex...the semen seems to do something to help thin you out so you will go into labor.
