Yes, there are tons of sites out there that offer lyric writing info, though some are not reputable so beware. A good place to start is Berklee College of Music. Here's a helpful article about lyric writing on their site: http://www.berkleemusic.com/school/course?course%5fitem%5fid=544228&usca%5fp=t. If you run a web search on "lyric writing" you'll find a lot more sites. You can get peer-to-peer help via one of the many Yahoo Groups on songwriting. Check out http://launch.dir.groups.yahoo.com/dir/Music/Songwriting for a list.

You can also take lyric writing instruction online, which Berklee offers. I highly recommend Harriet Schock's songwriting class. She has an excellent step by step program that's great for beginners and professionals alike. Her website is:
http://www.harrietschock.com. You might know her song "Ain't No Way to Treat a Lady."

If you want technical instruction, you could try the online lyric lab from The Academy for New Musical Theatre. It's mainly directed toward musical theatre writing but will give you in depth instructions on lyric writing that will help across genres. Their website is www.anmt.org and you can find info there on all the programs they offer.

Good luck.
