Alexander Graham Bell (March 3, 1847 – August 2, 1922) become a Scottish-Canadian-American scientist and inventor. on the instant, Bell continues to be substantially seen to be the optimal inventor of the telephone, whether this rely has become debatable, with quite a few human beings claiming that Antonio Meucci become the "actual" inventor (in June 2002, the US abode of Representatives surpassed a symbolic bill formally recognizing Meucci for his contributions to the discovery of the telephone). Others improve Elisha gray, the founding father of the Western electric powered production employer. (that's extremely sparkling that each and each of those adult males independently invented a telephone.) to boot to Bell's artwork in telecommunications technologies, he become in charge for substantial advances in aviation and hydrofoil technologies. He become a naturalized citizen of the US

Actually it is a matter of record that an Italian American , Antonio Meucci, invented the closest precursor to the modern telephone in 1871, and published a paper on it shortly afterwards. Unfortunately for him, due to lack of money, he never sought a patent on the device. There is every chance that Bell, and Elisha Gray (an American) who filed their patents on the same day, both pretty much just stole Meucci's work and patented it as their own. Hence the Americans claim they did it, the Scots/Brits claim they did it, and everyone else in Europe recognizes Meucci as the inventor.

Yes I agree he was Scotish , but theres more. He immigrated to Brantford , Ontario Canada in 1870 where he came up with his telephone invention . He moved to work in Boston USA and worked as a proffessor at the Boston University and marketed and demonstrated his invention there . So there are roots of Canadian origin in this story as well.
He came up with other inventions as well , and a famous quote he came up with is " Leave the beaten track behind occationally and dive into the woods . Everytime you do you will be certain to find something you have never seen before."

Well if Bell was a citizen of America, and he came from Scotland, then America would take the credit of the invention of the Telephone. Can't be that difficult to understand. Do you think if Bell was an American Citizen, he should give the credit to Scotland ?? Heck No. That is not the way it goes. Bell was an American with the Scottish nationality. Then the American named Bell , invented the telephone. Good grief, what will you think of next ?? God Bless America !!

The telephone was invented by Philipp Reis(German), Alexander Graham Bell (Scottish), Bourseul (French) and Elisha Gray (American). They all contributed ideas and technology to what we call a telephone.

So that's why we used to answer the "telephone Bell". Up to now I thought it was something to do with the sound. Thank you.

According to a letter in the Peking Gazette, in 968, the Chinese inventor Kung-Foo-Whing invented the thumtsein, which probably transported the speech through pipes. Speaking tubes remained common and can still be found today.
check the below link for more information on the electro magnetic phone, which I presume you mean.

I'm not anti-American, but the sooner they stop the pretence that they invented everything and start giving credit to others the better they might be thought of.
