Ohio State never plays teams with winning records like the SEC, had LSU not beaten themselves in the Florida they would have kick OSU butt too, that's how it is down here, we play teams that are good, OSU looked like a Crap and I'm not even a Florida fan
EDIT
Like I said they beat one good team Michigan and then they are the # 1 team after beating looser teams

As a Penn State fan living in Columbus, Ohio, I want to personally thank each and every Florida Gator player and fan for totally dismembering THE Ohio State Buckwheats. The Big 10 season certainly did not prepare OSU for the sound thumping that Florida gave them. And what-the-H happened to the vaunted OSU coaching staff during the game... no adjustments to the game plan? Tell me they didn't realize how good Florida was, when they had 51 days to get ready for them? Perhaps Youngstown State would like Coach Tressel back. He had several National titles there, but really can't win one at this level (poor officiating cost Miami the game in '02). My two favorite teams are: Penn State and whoever is playing Ohio State. Signed, Gator fan for a day

OSU won in '02 because of a botched pass interferance call during over time. They did not win that game.
Smith did not deserve the Heisman in my opinion. And, had Peterson been healthy, he would have been the clear choice for the Heisman. Russel from LSU is a better QB than Smith, and would be my first pick in the draft.
The QB from Hawaii set records this year, and technically had a better season. But, Hawaii doesn't get any press. He is also a QB that will go high in the draft. I would like to see him in Houston.
Back to OSU. Florida had a long time off as well. That excuse is not even viable. OSU's defense has always been poor, they could just outscore their apponents. Had they playe UT later in the year, I think the Horns would have taken them.
Sure they beat Mich., but they were in the same boat as OSU competition wise. The toughest schedules in NCAA football would fall in this order:
SEC
Big XII
ACC(since the recent changes.)
then PAC 10 or Big 10
everyone else after that really doesn't matter.

Your question is incomprehensible, much like OSU's game plan.
Take the offensive line for example. What was their plan? To stand there flat footed and hope the defensive front ran into them?
The Buckeyes highlight film this year will be exactly 16 seconds long (Ginn's return of the opening kickoff).
After that it was so quiet in Columbus you could hear a quarterback drop.

Kay are you saying that since you guys beat Michigan, and Troy Smith won a personal award (in a team sport), they didnt have anything left to play for? You have to be kidding me!
Face it... SEC teams are the best in college football. They have the top players, and each week is an all out in your face game... If OSU was not ready for that kind of play then that does not take the National Championship away from Florida.

you can not judge OSU by that one game
you know nothing if you think OSU is ****
OSU went all the way to the BSC game undefeated
we beat Michigan - keeping our title as #1 college team and because of that one game we are crap?
and Troy Smith won the heisman
why did we lose so bad? cause of the teams mentality
you go to BSC with no loses... beat michigan... all thats left is florida... ehh
but florida comes up and sees osu as a bigger challenge so they try harder - they are not the number one team and if they beat the number one team thats huge

Pacesurvey,
3 Days is long time to be crying isn't it. Maybe your panties don't fit? Get over it little girl.
Kay,
Then is that what you say about your 2002 OSU Nat'l Championship Team?
Think before you speak. Florida basically won this Nat'l championship in similar fashion to the way OSU did in 2002. I was proud for OSU because no one gave them a chance. This time around no one gave Florida a chance.
So is that what you say about your team in 2002? That it was just one game?
Sounds like a double-standard, idiotic statement to me...and to think that I routed for you in 2002. I'm starting to change my mind.

Being aware of the Denny Green meltdown earlier this year, I think that's hilarious. I figured OSU would win big, but ummm, yeah, didn't happen. That's ok, Wisconsin won their bowl game, and that's all that really matters.

Maybe the OSU players were just too conceited and thought that they were the unbeaten team and was gonna win the national title. But look what happened. they got their butts whooped. Always enter a game thinking you are the underdog and must live up to standards and not that you are the standards and ppl have to live up to u
