monitor problems n800c?

Question

My monitor sometimes turns black (the computer is still running)when I'm on battery ... even though the battery is fully charged ... sometimes when I unplug the power cord the screen turns black .. tryed different power settings .. may be adjusted wrong.
Please advise ... thanks Jeff

It sounds like the laptop power save function. There should be a way to adjust the time it takes to blank the screen but the longer it stays on the faster your battery will run down. I generally leave my laptop with the power adapter plugged in to avoid the blanking. The screen is usually brighter with the AC adapter plugged in as well.
