I often come home form school very exuasted and exasperated. Also I have a heavy load of homework from my college-level classes. I have 4 college classes and I go to 2 of them every other day (except Saturdays and Sundays). Please give me advice to mitigate my stress. Also to see when is the best time to finish my homework assingments.

try to sleep for about an hour or two as soon as you get home, then you'll be less tired and it'll be easier for you to do homework. another thing you could do is to sleep for 8 hours when you get home and wake up in about 3-4 AM. THis way there will be no distractions and the time pressure will keep you focused and will make you work faster. That's what I do and I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing. Since you have college-level classes every other day, try to do half of it on the day you get the homework and finish on the next day. Don't wait until the night before to do homeworks for 2 college-level classes. Also, try to reinforce yourself if you finish a homework. For example, if you finish a task, then reinforce yourself by eating chocolates, or whatever you like. Most of the time, this will not work, but you have to motivate yourself. Having afterschool activities, sports or simply going to the gym for an hour could also reduce stress, but make sure you plan ahead how many hours you dedicate for a subject.

I have about the same class load and I treat it like a 9-5pm job. I go to the gym in between to get my blood going. The 9-5 job thing works because I use my nights to relax. Occasionally I use weekend time to stay caught up on work or studying. Make sure you're eating right and sleeping enough could be part of it. I sleep 9 hours a night because 8 wasn't enough to get me fully rested after all that book work.

If you have any study halls, try to get as much done there as you can. You might try to knock it out as soon as you get home from school. It gets it done and out of the way so that you're free the rest of the night, and you don't have to worry about it.
