Ok. Let's see.

He has never won a bowl game which have consisted of USC and Texas. So saying he has never beat those teams is not a good way to say he is overrated.

As far as Ohio State, thats a tough one, its a rival its not really suggesting a whole lot besides disheartening true Michigan fans such as I.

My opinion is that he is neither overrated or underrated. He has a very nice deep ball, throws accurately, and causes few mistakes in his games. If you have noticed there is not a huge Henne hype anywhere. For Michigan its all centered around Mike Hart and Super Mario Manningham.

For the guy below, your an idiot.
He beat #2 Notre Dame this season. So uhh...come up with something new.

And how is he overrated when there really is no talk about him whatsoever?

In order to be over rated people need to hear hype about a player. I dont think that Henne gets the publicity to deem him over rated, if anything he may not get enough ink. He plays a solid game, accurate passer, smart and makes very few mistakes, fairly strong arm, great vision and ability to check down. I'm not aware that one player determines a teams bowl game chances or big game chances. The U of M hasnt won many bowl games for a long time, Henne wasnt the QB for most of those losses. It appears to be a coaching issue more than a player issue and as for Ohio State why not just give them credit for being a great team the last 3 years. Is Troy Smith overrated now that he failed to beat Florida which by most accounts had no chance of winning? I am willing to bet Henne will be a better pro, for all the hype about Smith watch where and when he gets drafted. The pro scouts arent all sold on his ability to play at that level. Several teams have him off their boards based on size, accuracy and understanding and reading plays. That doesnt mean he wasnt a great college player...he was but that doesnt project to being a great pro (former Heisman winners or overhyped college QBS)...Ty Detmer...Doug Flutie...Andre Ware...David Klingler...Ryan Leaf...Gino Toretta...etc...etc...etc.). But none of that takes away from any of their college accomplishments.

Tom Brady was largely boo'ed and constantly questioned during his time in Ann Arbor...the armchair QBs wanted to see Drew Henson (theres a U of M QB that turned out to be overrated if you are looking for one)..

Welllll.... one factor that I dont understand is why greater communities do no longer run unfold offenses collectively as taking part in Mich. even with the indisputable fact that it ought to no longer be their sort of play they understand that this type offense works. Mich has come around even with the indisputable fact that, fantastically after that game final week. Now, onto Henne. i'm prepared to wager that a million. He gets drafted greater than Troy Smith and 2. He has a greater efficient nfl occupation than Troy Smith. Ohio State is to college soccer what Duke is to college basketball. you have those "all stars" in college that crap out interior the specialists. provide credit the place credit is due. they seem to be a competent team and that i think of generally because of the fact Tressel is a huge coach. With the game being in Ann Arbor i think of the game would be nearer than some are looking forward to.

He isn't overated. He is a good college qb. He had a great game against Ohio State. It's a team sport. The qb gets too much praise and too much criticism when the TEAM wins or loses.

He surely is. Troy Smith have beaten teams such as texas, michigan and some of the sec teams in his 3 year college career as a starter. Even Russell wins bowl games. Henne has neither beaten a top 5 team or win a major bowl game.
