One or two teaspoons of baking soda in 4 to 8 ounces of water.
Works great!

If you added lemon juice and asprin it would be an Alka-Seltzer!
But then it will fizz all over the place. It used to be sold as Bromo Seltzer. I don't know if they make it anymore.

Do you know what heartburn is? It's when the stomach expands from gas, which means your poor tummy isn't digesting the food. Try some ginger. If this is a routine condition take some hydrochloric acid before meals to start the acid production. There may be more then one problem happening here. Check the rest of your digestive tract for problems too.

One of the most common pieces of advice as a home remedy for heartburn is to drink milk. However, it just may have the opposite effect! It's been shown that calcium in dairy products actually triggers the production of stomach acid. It may offer some temporary relief as it soothes the burning esophagus, but more acid will eventually be produced.

There are 4 things you need to do
1. Eat just enough to feel okay meaning fill only 3/4ths of your tummy. Never overeat nor keep your stomach completely empty.
2. Always have about 2 hours gap between the time you eat and lie down or sleep
3. Lie down with an elevated pillow that helps a lot.
4. Cut down on spicy things and if you eat something spicy, always top it up with i cup of chilled non fat milk with 3 tablespoon of rose water.
Good luck

the fat in milk will aggravate heartburn so if you are going to do milk make sure it is fat free.

Jaegermeister liquer with licorice extract is really good.

Raw dandelion leaf chewed then swallowed is excellent, too and alcohol free. I sent my mom a dandelion plant and she ate the whole damned thing just for her heartburn.

It's going to sound stupid, because you think heartburn is caused by too much acid, but drink a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.

The best: Goat Milk. Heat it up on the stove to almost-boiling, and drink it warm.
also: aloe vera juice. but you shouldn't drink aloe vera juice every day; it is a laxative and your bowels can become dependent on it.
