NO.

Person with the plumber is right. Check the filter.

I stopped using commercial drain chemicals a long time ago.

Its just to harsh on pipes not to mention the environment. I pour boiling water down the drains about 1x a week and this helps to disolve oils, fats. At least once a month I pour a baking soda into drain, followed by 1 cup of vinegar - step back! Leave for about an hour and flush with tap water. So far, so good.

NO NO !! Try a few simple steps. Is the drain hose and/or the "Y" vent to the diposal clear? You could remove the drain hose from the Y and use a 5 gallon bucket to see if your pumping ample water out.
Is there food laying on the bottom of the washer where the water would normally drain? Is the hose kinked? If it has a filter, (not all do)is it clean?

No way - Plus it could kill you if any remains on the dishes or silverware.

It will destroy the rubber gaskets inside the dishwasher.

Just plain white vinegar will work.

Put one cup of white vinegar in the bottom of the dishwasher, when it is empty.
Run a complete cycle with the white vinegar and no dishes or anything in it.

This should help. Try this every other week until your problem goes away.

Hope this helps.

GOD bless.

Try lime away or clr. It might be lime build up. my plumber told me to pour some in and let it sit for about 1/2 hr. Then run it thru it's whole cycle. You might have to do it a couple of times. Also check your dishwasher's filter to make sure the trap is not full.
