well firstly relaxx.
you shouldn't be getting a rectal exam
but anyways
don't freak out
your doctor will probably/might give u an enema or suppository so you can empty your bowels so you don't poop while his hand is in there.
an enema is a liquid substance that is inserted through the rectum to make you have a bowel.
a suppository is the same except its not liquid
don't worry it doesn't hurt. its just pretty uncomfortable.
you will be bent over for a suppository prolly w/ ure pants down and you will be on your side layed down for the enema and then u have a while to use the restroom.
then when your back you will get a gown liek a hospital one and ure doctor gives you privacy while u get undressed and put that down
he will prolyl ask you questions before this whole exam
stuff such as when was ure last period etc. etc.
you will be laying on ure stomach and your doctor will tell you when he will use one hand to open/seperate your buttocks and the other will be a gloved finger which he will have put vaseline on so it slips right in your rectum this feels very uncomfortable and some say painful but it's not.
the finger will be in your for about a minute or less and your doctor will just curl it which kinda hurts and move around to see if everything is okay.
as for the gyn exam
first your doctor will check your breasts and then lay you down for your pubic area.
he will first check the outer part of your vagina and such which i gues you could say TICKLES.
then he will insert a 2 gloved finger which prolly has some vaseline on it and check around.
then he will use a speculum to open your vagina
it looks very scary
but don't worry it does not hurt much. then with a long swab he will take a pap smear which you will feel a pinch of and some pain and crampy feelings.
he will also push on ure stomach mildly
then your all done to go!
the rectal exam takes like 3 mins.
and the gyn takes about 15ish.
there will be some pain not to scare you but to get you ready
for the rectal exam my doctor told me since i was so scared i should have tried to put some vaseline on a qtip and insert it in my rectum.
though a qtip is smaller than a finger but youll get the idea.
i don;t know if you want to do that or not....i didn't but its just to get the idea of the pain and stuff but dont insert it too far and dont let go
IM OR EMAIL me if u have more questions!!
hope it all goes well

The rectal exam during the Gyn exam is quick and over before you know it.
He/she will be wearing gloves (usually a fresh one after examining your uterus), places a little bit of lubricant on the finger, and will stick the finger into your anus for a few seconds to feel around in that time for any abnormalities. There's no pain. Just be sure you're relaxed like you are for the Gyn exam itself.
I get this done every year. It's nothing.

A rectal examination or rectal exam is an internal examination of the rectum by a physician or other healthcare professional.
The digital rectal examination (DRE, Latin palpatio per anum or PPA) is the simplest procedure. The patient is placed in a position where the anus is accessible and relaxed (lying on the side, squatting on the examination table, bent over the examination table, etc). The physician inserts a gloved and lubricated finger into the rectum through the anus and palpates the insides.
The DRE is inadequate as a screening tool for colorectal cancer because it examines less than 10% of the colorectal mucosa; colonoscopy is preferred. However, it's an important part of a general examination, as many tumors or other diseases manifest themselves in the distal part of the rectum.
This examination may be used:
for the diagnosis of rectal tumors and other forms of cancer;
in males, for the diagnosis of prostatic disorders, notably tumors and benign prostatic hyperplasia;
for the diagnosis of appendicitis or other examples of an acute abdomen (i.e. acute abdominal symptoms indicating a serious underlying disease);
for the estimation of the tonicity of the anal sphincter, which may be useful in case of fecal incontinence or neurologic diseases;
in females, for gynecological palpations of internal organs
for examination of the hardness and colour of the faeces (ie. in cases of constipation, and fecal impaction);
prior to a colonoscopy or proctoscopy.
The DRE is frequently combined with a FOBT (fecal occult blood test), which may be useful for diagnosing the etiology of an anemia and/or confirming a gastrointestinal bleed.
Sometimes proctoscopy may also be part of a rectal examination.
Anal probing is the insertion of an instrument into the anal of a human or animal cavity to measure activities in the lower bowel. Instruments used include pliers, tongs, fiber-optic cables, syringes, eye droppers, thermometers, and specialized balloons. Anal probing is used most often to identify digestion problems, however, it can also be used for identifying parasites, organ damage, and foreign objects in the human body.
